Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) - www.sei.ie

Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI), formerly the Irish Energy Centre was set up by the government in 2002 as Ireland’s national energy agency. Their mission is to promote and assist the development of sustainable energy.

SEI offer a wide range of services such as:

• improving energy efficiency
• advancing the development and competitive deployment of renewable sources of energy and combined heat and power
• reducing the environmental impact of energy production and use, particularly in respect of greenhouse gas emissions.

SEI delivers Energy MAP training programmes. Energy MAP is the Energy Management Action Plan from SEI. It is a tool which provides a step by step guide to creating a best practise action plan for your business.
SEI also provides free, one-to-one advice and mentoring to private-sector SMEs from one of their specialist energy advisors. These advisors help and motivate SMEs to assess their own energy use, to identify opportunities for savings and to take action to realise these savings.

Lighting

Patina Lighting is a design and manufacturing company based in Dublin. They specialise in manufacturing innovative energy efficient lighting products, which cater for the industrial and commercial markets. The company has over 20 years experience in lighting design and application, providing a complete design package including the implementation of projects. The Patina lighting series offers energy savings over a conventional lighting system in the range of 70-80 percent. Apart from reducing lighting consumption other benefits include improved luminance level, reduced glare and flicker and lower maintenance costs. The Patina range includes the use of daylight dimming assessment and occupancy control.

Working alongside Patina as their installation partners is Parkersell, who specialise in the management and maintenance of lighting and electrical services. Parkersell (L&E) Services is part of the £ 3.2bn Dalkia Group, one of the UK and Irelands largest and progressive organisation. Services include lighting installation, lighting maintenance, lighting and lamp recycling, specialising in the commercial and industrial marketplace. Heat Recovery

The Thermosave System offers an engineered solution for the economical heating, cooling and ventilation of any commercial or industrial premise. The system is designed to use the waste heat from the Refrigeration system, converting it to hot water through a heat exchanger; this in turn provides space heating and domestic hot water. Founded in May 2007, ResourceKraft Limited is an Irish energy cost management company based in Limerick and Cork. Developing and manufacturing energy cost management systems for businesses; the company has swiftly become the market leader, building a nationwide network of resellers and installers and expanding to the UK.
Frank Casey is a Founder and Director in ResourceKraft Limited. Frank has over 25 years experience in sales, marketing and engineering with companies such as Intel, Alps and Data General. ResourceKraft is an Enterprise Ireland High Potential Start Up (HPSU).
The 'Energia On-Line' product has been developed and tested and had its launch in early October 2008. It test results have been well received and actioned by the businesses involved.

Air Conditioning

EcoCooling Ireland Ltd is in the business of helping customers solve their excess heat problems. They design and manufacture a range of evaporative coolers, delivering evaporative cooling as a low carbon impact, low energy alternative to air conditioning. At 15% of the running costs of traditional air conditioning, ecocoolers can provide up to 50Kw of cooling from just 1Kw of electricity.
